Project Investment Programs
We invest at every stage of community economic development by helping communities prepare to attract investment, build the infrastructure they rely on, and create vibrant, inclusive public places.
Investment Readiness
Funding to help communities prepare priority initiatives for investment, by developing the plans, analysis, and relationships needed for large-scale projects to move forward.
- Up to $30,000
- Up to 50% of eligible costs
- Four streams, from preparing a single project to shaping a region-wide strategy
Capital and Innovation
Funding to help build the infrastructure communities, businesses, and social enterprises depend on, from capital projects to innovations that diversify local economies and drive sustainable growth.
- Up to $200,000
- 25-50% of eligible costs, depending on community size
- One streamlined application for public and community-owned projects of every scale
Community Placemaking
Funding to transform public spaces into vibrant, inclusive places where people gather and local economies thrive.
- Up to $40,000
- Up to 50% of eligible costs
- One streamlined application built around your internal project plan
Knowledge and Leadership Programs
Alongside our investments in projects, we fund events and education through one-time sponsorships and bursaries.
Sponsorships
Supporting regional events that build economic development capacity and strengthen partnerships across coastal communities.
- Up to $5,000
- For events held in, or serving, the Trust’s region
Bursaries
Supporting community leaders to build skills and connections through training, certification, and conferences in community economic development.
- Up to $1,000
- For leaders from rural, Indigenous, and remote communities to access opportunities often based in cities
